The DLT S4 tape drive with DLTSage software offers WORM (Write Once Read Many) and Tape Security at no extra cost. Strict new government regulations now require many businesses to archive data on a non-rewriteable, non-erasable media such as WORM. Unlike other tape formats that require special equipment or special data cartridges the DLT S4 and DLTSage enables WORM functionality using standard DLTtape S4 data cartridges. More than just WORM functionality DLTSage also offers Tape Security. Tape Security uses electronic keys to prevent unauthorized access in the event that your tapes are lost or stolen. Available only on 4th generation DLT S and DLT V tape drives. |
