Archive up to 320 gigabytes per tape cartridge at up to 72 gigabytes per hour. More than 4 times the capacity and 3 times faster than DAT 72 tape drives in the same form factor and at a similar price. A higher capacity per tape cartridge means less frequent tape changes and fewer tape cartridges to manage. |

The DLT V4 tape drive with DLTSage software offers WORM (Write Once Read Many) and Tape Security at no extra cost. Strict new government regulations now require many businesses to archive data on a non-rewriteable, non-erasable media such as WORM. Unlike other tape formats that require special equipment or special data cartridges the DLT V4 and DLTSage enables WORM functionality using standard VS 1 data cartridges. More than just WORM functionality DLTSage also offers Tape Security. Tape Security uses electronic keys to prevent unauthorized access in the event that your tapes are lost or stolen. Available only on 4th generation DLT S and DLT V tape drives. |

The DLT V4 offers backwards read compatibility with all three previous generations of Value Series tape drives. Data stored on DLTtape IV tape media created with DLT1 and VS80 tape drives are supported. Data stored on DLTtape VS1 tape media created with VS160 tape drives are also supported. |
